Black Sabbath 1983 Manor Tapes

"Born Again" has always been one of my most favourite Sabbath albums.
The perfect mix of Ian Gillan's shrieks and the band's solid form of hard rock/heavy metal.
When Dio left and Gillan stepped in, a lot of people especially old fans were confused and weren't sure. the same kind of thing happened when Brian Robertson replaced guitar player Fast Eddie in Motorhead.
It was different than previous albums, but hey! This is just as great!

On Born Again, it is a mix between Sab's burners and pounders with classics like Trashed and Zero The Hero, offset with some slower, slightly-Deep Purple-type moods (eg.Keep It Warm, Born Again).

The huge bonus of this is the unreleased track "The Fallen" and now we know why it was never included, as it sounds way too much like Deep Purple and not Black Sabbath. Good song, but it sticks out from the rest.

Thanks to T.U.B.E. for sharing. You can hear the muddy rough mix ("unmixed") version that the rest of us listened to for years and now, finally a clear, remastered version.
